While General Motors workers at the Halol Factory in India are in the fourth week of their strike--fighting for basic health and safety improvements, ending the abuse of temporary workers, and the right to organize an independent union--local GM Halol management is aggressively advertizing to hire replacement workers.

Please keep the pressure up on GM in the U.S. and India. Working conditions, wages, and health and safety will never improve in the global sweatshop economy until workers have the rights to organize.

More than 1500 people have signed the letter to GM CEO, Mr. Daniel F. Akerson, asking him to immediately intervene with GM management at the Halol Factory in India.
